Archives for April 2014

The month started well with Xavier coming 6th at Larkhill; his form continued and he was 5th at Broadway. Danni, as usual, did a brilliant job.

Pearl went to South of England to do the OI with Mike and jumped a fantastic double clear to finish 4th.

Due to Withington being canceled we went to The Hand Show Jumping with Mike, Danni and me taking a full lorry each. Hilldown Prophet was the star of the day for us jumping a double clear in the Discovery in a very large class to win by 4 seconds! Xavier and Danni jumped a lovely double clear in the 1.15m. Pearl was 5th in the 1.15m and had the last fence in the Foxhunter.

Prophet and George have been performing well winning both the prelims at The Hand on over 70%
Flynn also went to The Hand with George and has now Qualified for the Summer Novice Regional Finals.

Hilldown Parsley and Gemma have been getting some really high scores and even with and error of course managed 76% at Burrows so they have their regional qualifications as well.

Bisto the lovely coloured horse we had for sale charmed his way in to a new home and is all set for a really fun season with his new owner Jane.

On a less horsey note Robin and I snook off to Bath for a night with non horsey friends as a surprise for Robin’s birthday. We had a fantastic time we felt like tourists. We stated with a tour on an open top bus then back to the hotel followed by cocktails and a lovely meal out. To top it all off a lie in the next day and breakfast at 9am! what a treat.
