Archives for July 2014

The past two months have been very hectic; a full yard, flat out with competitions, Almondsbury show to organize and Vikki and George away on well deserved holidays.

I can’t think where to start…

We took Xavier to Tattersalls in Ireland to do the CCI* and he was Mr Perfect as usual and jumped a fabulous double clear.  He then had a little break before going to Aston le Walls and Burgham.

Pearl has been busy too, going to Barbury CIC*** and after jumping a very slick clear show jumping and starting very keen and fast XC misjudged the edge of a ditch and bumped her nose on the log above so annoyingly had to retire.  Not put off at all she bombed around Dauntsey novice with a double clear as a schooling round for Burgham CIC*** where she was foot perfect cross country, jumping clear.

Prophet has had an amazing two months with placings BE100 and Novice so finally gaining some points. He also won the Heythrop gate jumping, jumping an incredible 1.65m. He will now be living permanently with Mike.

Vikki has bought a super little pink horse called Babe, so will be starting her BE career soon.

Parsley and Gemma have continued with their winning form gaining over 70% numerous times, let’s hope it continues for the regional finals.

Laura and Bouycie have qualified for the PC eventing championships.

George had to make the sad decision to have her lovely old boy Zac put down, but Hilldown Harley has more than filled his shoes showing great scope and aptitude already.

Hector sadly only got selected as a reserve for the pony Europeans.   We were all gutted but hay ho that’s teams!

Almondsbury show was a massive success and thank you to ALL that helped out. I think the total we raised was about £3,000.

I will be starting the rallies soon so please text if you want to be added to the list

Rhubarb’s auntie is having puppies so if anyone is interested please let me know.
