July News

July has been a nice sunny month, which has been brilliant for getting the breakers done as the hot weather makes them a lot more relaxed than the wind and rain

The month started with Almondsbury show where Vikki took Leighland Portia and came home with plenty of rosettes. Hilldown Thistle won  the prettiest mare with Vikki in the saddle and Hilldown Parsley with Gemma came 5th in the dressage.

Janet  had a busy day not only did she co judge the showing with Dot Willis, she won the dressage cup on her own horse Lucky.

Diane Phillips horse Sid has been on form this month winning two elementary classes and two novice classes. Hilldown Prophet contained himself at the Badminton dressage championships finishing on a brilliant score and collecting a 7th rosette.

Hilldown Parsley had a trip out to Burrows Court dressage and did two very credible tests. Gemma was very pleased with him!

Leighland Xavier and Mike Jackson’s  Wallaby have been busy keeping the dressage and show jumping up together ready for their next burst of eventing.

Leighland Portia has settled in her new home and has already had some good results.

Danni has continued her excellent form coming 2nd with Zermie in a CIC* with only 1 time fault stopping her from winning.

Robin and I have had a few lovely days off and managed to go into Bristol with Cookie and Rhubarb and walk the Gromit Unleashed trail.
